Is your store invisible to AI shopping agents? UCP for Salla and WooCommerce

Google's and Shopify's shopping agents look for a UCP profile to learn what a store sells and how to work with it. Shopify stores have one built in. Here's how stores on Salla and WooCommerce get one, and what else keeps agents away.

Search engines read sitemaps. Shopping agents read UCP.

For twenty years, being found online meant being readable by search engines: a sitemap, good titles, structured data. AI shopping agents add a new layer. Before an agent can search your products for a customer, it needs to know that your store accepts agents, what it supports, and where to send requests.

That's what the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) is for. Google and Shopify launched it in 2026, and a store publishes a small profile at /.well-known/ucp on its own domain. Shopify turned it on for its stores. Stores on Salla and WooCommerce don't have one. To an agent that looks for it, they simply aren't there.

What Allowfy now does for your store

When your Salla or WooCommerce store is connected to Allowfy:

  1. Allowfy publishes your UCP profile, saying exactly what you support: product search, through Allowfy. Nothing is advertised that Allowfy doesn't actually do: no checkout, no payment handlers.
  2. Agents can search your products through it, and get each product with its price in your currency, availability, description, images and a link back to your store.
  3. Your rules decide. If your rule for product search isn't "allowed", or you've paused agent access, there's no profile at all.
  4. Where agents look. On WooCommerce, the Allowfy plugin for WordPress serves it on your own domain, at yourstore.com/.well-known/ucp. On Salla, where stores can't add their own files, the profile is at your Allowfy address, ready to share with platforms; and any domain you verify with Allowfy serves it too.

We check every profile and every search answer against the official UCP schemas, so agents get exactly the format the standard defines.

Products without a price aren't guessed

If a product has no price, or no currency Allowfy can be sure of, it's left out of the answer. An agent that quotes a customer the wrong price is worse than one that doesn't mention the product at all.

Know which agents come, and block any

Agents can sign their requests, the way Visa, Mastercard and Cloudflare are standardizing it. Allowfy checks each signature against the agent's published keys, shows you every signed agent and platform that searched your store, and lets you block any of them, or answer signed agents only.

What else keeps agents away? Check for free

A UCP profile isn't the only thing that matters. Allowfy Check now tests five things that decide whether today's assistants can use your site:

  • A UCP profile at /.well-known/ucp.
  • robots.txt: does it tell ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity's assistants to stay away?
  • Bot defences: does an assistant get your page, or a block or a challenge? To an agent, a blocked store looks the same as a closed one.
  • llms.txt: a short guide to your business for language models.
  • Structured data: prices, stock, hours and policies as data agents can trust.

Each one comes with what to do about it, in Arabic or English.
